Image licensing

Our rule
We only publish an image when we can document that we are allowed to use it. Every image has a license record with its source, creator, license, proof and a fingerprint of the file. If the record is incomplete or doubtful, the image is not published.
Where our images come from
- Original artwork made by the publication — abstract illustrations generated by our own software from shapes and colours. They do not depict any game’s characters, logos or art.
- Openly licensed media — public-domain/CC0 works and Creative Commons works that permit commercial use, with attribution shown wherever the license requires it.
- Stock photography from services whose license allows commercial website use.
- Press materials and permissions — only when the rights holder’s permission covers this use and is stored.
What we do not use
Images found through search engines, screenshots or artwork copied from app stores or other websites without permission, fan art without permission, non-commercial or no-derivatives licenses, and AI images that imitate existing games or artists.
Attribution
When a license requires credit, it appears directly with the image and in the review’s sources section.
Rights questions
If you believe an image here infringes your rights, contact us via contact with the page and image concerned. We review every request and remove content where the claim is valid.
